AMI Polyolefin additives 2021

Wells Plastics is pleased to be back at AMI Polyolefin additives 2021, Berlin. This year Julie Simmons, Bactiglas™ Product Manager, will be sharing her expertise on the anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties of Bactiglas™ additive masterbatches to a global audience at this internationally renowned conference and exhibition.

Wells Plastics will be presenting at the Mecure Hotel, Berlin, Germany on the 27th of October 2021, the AMI Polyolefin Additives Conference entitled ‘ exploring the international polyolefin market to optimise performance through compounding, blending and additives’ featuring a wide range of subjects and Julie will be joining an exciting list of internationally respected companies and presenters.

Wells Plastics has been involved in the field of antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral additive systems in polymer applications and substrates for over 20 years supplying into a wide range of different uses from medical devices to fast moving consumer goods (FMCGs) and have developed over this period an extensive understanding of the available technologies and the extremely complicated regulatory and claims landscape.

The Wells Plastics Paper ‘Bactiglas™ antimicrobial and antiviral additive masterbatch: providing that extra line of defence in the world of Covid’ will explore our latest findings and present a case for the incorporation of such materials in polymer substrates.

Julie commented ‘I am delighted to be able to share some of the exciting developments of Bactiglas™ over recent years particularly with the backdrop of the pandemic which has brought these types of materials to a wider range of product developers, specifiers and designers. This conference will allow Wells to showcase some of the important aspects of these useful and highly regulated materials’
