New Material – Compol™

Product Launch at K2019!

Wells Plastics is delighted to be able to show case the launch of a new material – Compol™, which has been developed over the last three years in partnership with the BioComposites Centre, Bangor University, UK and Dragon Plastics Limited, UK.

Compol™ has been specifically designed to produce beneficial mechanical properties and stability at high temperatures, whilst being fully compliant with the EN13432 compostability standard. It has been designed for situations where the operating temperature rules out other more common compostable materials due to issues such as cracking and deformation.

This material is ideal for applications where it might be subjected to temperatures approaching 100deg C such as coffee cup lids, coffee pods, plus many others.

The material is suitable for a wide range of processing techniques, such as blown and cast film extrusion, cast sheet extrusion, injection moulding and vacuum forming.

Please come and visit the stand for more detailed information Compol™, an incredible new material between the 16th and 23rd this October in Hall 5 Stand A26
